WRIGHT, Delores Yvonne (nee Pratt) of Meyronne, Saskatchewan, passed away on Thursday, May 17th, 2012 at the age of 71 years, with her family by her side, at the Lafleche & District Health Centre. Delores was born in Kincaid, Saskatchewan on June 9th, 1940; she was the only child of Alice & Newton Pratt of Hazenmore, Sk. Delores took her schooling in Hazenmore, Sk. Upon completion of her schooling, she worked at the Bank of Commerce in Kincaid, Sk. Delores married Glen Wright of Meyronne, Sk., on June 14th, 1958 and they resided on the family farm. Delores and Glen were blessed with 3 daughters. Delores worked at the Meyronne Co-op as manager for 21 years; through their 53 years of marriage Delores was very active within the community, volunteering on many boards and clubs, teaching blue jean classes, calligraphy for the music festival, skating carnivals, running the bookmobile, books for the town of Meyronne and many more. Delores was known for her cooking, baking and sewing skills, many hours were spent making wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and altering any item that would end up on her door step. Delores always put everyone else first and made time for them, her door was always open for visiting and coffee, along with goodies. Delores enjoyed reading and painting in her leisure time. She had a great love for her grandchildren and was most happy when everyone was at the farm for a family gathering of any sort. Delores is predeceased by her parents Alice & Newton Pratt. Delores leaves to mourn her loving family, husband Glen Wright of Meyronne, Sk.; daughters Vicki (Bill) Bahnuick of Regina, Sk., & great step grandsons, Devin & Riley of Regina; Allison (Lorne) Glassford of Lafleche, Sk., & grandsons Brenan of Kindersley, Cole of Swift Current, Nathan of Swift Current, & Braden of Lafleche; Priscilla (Bart) Dykema of Vanguard, Sk., & grandsons Jordan, Christopher & Connor of Vanguard. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Lafleche & District Health Centre who helped care for her. In keeping with Delores’ wishes, there will be no funeral service; donations can be made to the Saskatchewan diabetes association. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Piche-Hawkins-Grondin Funeral Chapels, Assiniboia & Gravelbourg.
