WILLIAMS, Wallace Colby, 92, Shelburne, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Wallace was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was so proud of his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas in Holland. Wallace worked for W.T. Dauphinee Memorials for twenty-five years and was an excellent stone mason. He also worked for the Department of Transportation as a lighthouse keeper for 15 years. In later years he had his own sign painting business. In their earlier years he and his wife Frances enjoyed travelling and camping. He is survived by sons, Wallace, Shelburne; Edward (Nonie), Birchtown; Joseph (Nancy), Ottawa; daughters, Nancy (Wayne), Sandy Point; Sharon (John), Hampton, NB; grand-children, Andrew, Christina, Dwayne, Katrina, Jennifer, Jonathan and Danielle; great-grandchildren, Allison, Derek, Lacey, Violet, Charlotte, Adeline and Leo. He was predeceased by his wife the former Frances LeBlanc, brother, Bud Dolliver and sister, Doris Wolfe. A service was held on Saturday, May 26 in Christ Anglican Church, Shelburne with Reverend Ed Trevors officiating. Interment in Upper Sandy Point Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Beulah Burman PET Projects, Canadian Cancer Society or Upper Sandy Point Cemetery.
