Viola Mary King, a resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care, formerly, George Street, Sydney, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012.
Born in Toronto, Ont., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Sophie (Starzomski) Maziarz.
Viola worked in the dietary and X-ray departments at the Sydney City Hospital, retiring after 32 years of service.
Surviving are her daughter, Lisa King, Calgary; sisters, Dolores ‘Toots’ Lacey, Sydney and Sandra (John) Doyle, Halifax; grandchildren, Mark and Shauna and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held in the chapel on Monday 11 a.m., with Rev. Anthony O’Connor officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
