CORMIER, WINNIFRED - Winnifred Cormier, 84, of Moncton, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012 from complications following a lengthy illness at The Moncton Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Lucie (Gautreau) Boudreau. Born November 26, 1929 in Moncton, she and her husband Frank moved to Dieppe where they raised their daughter Carol (George) and son Andrew (Angela). Winnie was manager at Betty Rubin’s for many years where she developed close and treasured friendships. At home, she was an avid book reader and spent many of her retirement years in the company of her husband and her books. She had a special bond with her granddaughter Crystal who will always keep this in her heart. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. She enjoyed the support and friendship of her many relatives throughout the years, especially during her times of needs, such as the passing of her husband Frank. Their kindness will always be remembered.
By personal request, all services will be private. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Winnie, donations to the Christians Children Fund, the Friends of The Moncton Hospital or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
