Retired CN Carman. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, May 28, 2012, after a courageous and lengthy illness, Robert John Kennedy, age 74 years. Predeceased by his mother and father Lillian and William; brother William; sisters: Mary, Rose, Shirley, Doris, Irene, Elizabeth and Jean. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Frances (Winnie) nee Whalen of 39 years; daughter Kimberley (Eddie) Walsh; son Robert (Kelli) and one special grandson Kaden of Calgary; two brothers: James of Ontario and Reginald (Marjorie) of St. John’s; also a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends; as well as special friends of many years, Eugene and Eileen. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel.
