It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charlie Heath announce his passing on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012 at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Edna; children: Frances Gill (Joseph), Brian and Pamela Chafe (Walter); grandchildren: Michael Gill, Sheena Hillier, Matthew Gill and Meghan Ross; great-grandchildren: Zachery, Kaden, Rihanna, Isaac, Anna and Mackenzie; brother: George (Marjorie) Heath and sisters: Bertha Hussey (Eldon), Elsie Plasse and Rita Kean (Maxwell); as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents: Silas and Sophie Heath; brother, Thomas and sister, Mary Best. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Friday morning, 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1st at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Chapel, St. Marks Avenue, followed by interment at Mt. Patricia cemetery. Major Raymond Janes officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
