Rosella Mary Patterson – 83, of Greenwich Ridge, Kings County, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at home. Born in Havelock, Digby County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Edesse O’Brien. She was a farming wife and partner for over 60 years and was a member of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture. She was a community supporter and in earlier years had been active in several community organizations. She was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Wolfville and the Greenwich Women’s Association. She is survived by two sons, Edward James (Louisa), Greenwich Ridge and Harry Wilford (Pamela), North Alton; one sister, Joanne (Nelson) Doucet, St. Bernard, Digby County; one brother, Neil (Germaine) O’Brien, East Ferry, Digby County; four grandchildren, Laura, Kyle, Riley and Joel; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Clifford. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012, Reverend Sandra Fyfe officiating. Burial took place in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only, by request.
