Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on May 25, 2012, Mr. Clifton Samuel Coombs of Shoal Cove West in his 61st year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sisters Alva (Hen), Josie (Harrison), Mary (Melv), and Peggy (Rol), brothers Abe (Laura), Free (Ruby), Bruce (Ivy), and Dwight (Jean) and a large circle of friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his mother Bridget, father Abraham, brothers Oswan and Israel, and sister Irene. Visitation was held at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church in Reef’s Harbour from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 28 with Rev. Harold Harvey and lay reader Bernice Baines officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd., St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
