Passed away suddenly at her residence in Fortune on May 23rd, Verna (Cake) Crewe in her 63rd year. Predeceased by her husband Curtis Crewe and her parents John & Rhoda Cake, brothers Roy & Johnny and sister Rita. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is her daughter Cathy (Alex) Pickett of Calgary, AB, son John (Darcy) of Medicine Hat, AB and three grandchildren; Shayne, Jonathon and Makayla, brothers George (Irene) - Corner Brook, NL, Cecil (Joan) - Toronto, ON, Albert (Connie) - Toronto, ON, Wayne – Fortune, NL, Lester (Garnita) - Fortune, NL and Paul – Toronto, ON, sisters Eileen – Fortune, NL, Marie (Marvin) - Comox, BC, Lillian – Halifax, NS, Lottie (Johnny) – Toronto, ON, Audrey (Jim) – Fortune, NL and Beverly (Gord) – Grand Bank, NL. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Neal Buffett from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Lamaline at 2pm on Tuesday, June 5th, 2012. Inurnment followed at St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery. Organist was Susie Lovell, Soloist was Carolanne Randell, Urn Bearer was John Crewe(Son). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.
