1919 ~ 2012
On Monday, June 4, 2012 Beryl Betker of Kamloops, BC passed away at the age 93 years.
Beryl was born in Vancouver on February 26, 1919. She grew up on the farm in Plato, Saskatchewan. The family retired to Victoria in the late 1930's.
She was predeceased by her sister Doreen and nephew Robert.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Robert (Eileen), grandson Ryan (Leah), granddaughter Susan (Matt) Gilmour, and three great grandchildren, Cora, Evan and Tommy.
Beryl came to Kamloops in 1955 where she took up painting and bowling. She was very involved with the Presbyterian congregation at her beloved St. Andrew's Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Andrew's Memorial Fund.
The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2012 in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 1136 - 6th. Avenue, Kamloops, with Pastor Harold Wiest officiating.
