Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, of A. Forbes Thompson of Darnley, aged 88 years. Born in Darnley on Nov. 25, 1923, son of the late William and Gladys (Mountain) Thompson. He was predeceased by his loving wife Helen (nee Champion) and grandsons Michael and Steven Thompson, sisters Adeline Gunning and Rose Pickrem. Dear father to Mildred Connors (Henry Hynes), Dartmouth, N.S., and Jimmie (Mabel) Thompson, New Annan. Loving Poppy to Kevin (Yvonne) Thompson and Carmen Connors (Chris MacDonald) and Great-Poppy to Olivia, Amy, Madison, Aidan and Logan. Brother of Edith Conrad late Herbert), Halifax, N.S.; Violet (Edward) LePage, Chelmsford, Mass., and Daisy Coburn (late Curtis), Billericia, Mass. Lovingly remembered by his special friend Corinne Kay, Summerside, and her family Dian, Mary, Robert, Celeste and David. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery, Malpeque.
