It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Helen Wilson, announce her sudden passing on Saturday, June 9, 2012.
Helen was the daughter of the late Vivian Young and Lawrence Wilson Sr.
Helen was an active member of Christian Fellowship Church, Sydney. Helen had a fondness for animals, especially her dog, “Sandy”. She also had a love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar with her brother, Bobby, other family members and friends.
Helen will be sadly missed by brothers, Robert (Liz) Wilson, Lawrence (Susan) Wilson, both of Dominion, Joe (Tanya) Wilson, Clairie Jones, Ontario; sisters, Nadine (Sheldon) Saccary, Jocelyn (Tim) Ogden, both of Dominion and Madeline (Mark) Herring, B.C. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and many friends.
Helen was predeceased by her grandmother, Helen Baker Young, who affectionately referred to her as “Little Helen”.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Visitation for Helen will be held Friday 2-4 p.m. at Bethel Family Church, 85 Reserve St., Glace Bay, with a funeral service to follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Bruce A. DeYoung officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Bridgeport.
