O’BRIEN, John Frederick - John Frederick O’Brien, husband of Teresa (Ellsworth) O’Brien, passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2012. Born in Saint John on May 26, 1964, he was a son of Joan Marie (Lawlor) and the late J. Frederick “Fred” O’Brien. John worked for Sobeys Community Banner as a Commercial Programs Manager for the Deli department. He worked in various Sobeys stores, previously serving as the store manager for the Grand Bay and Loch Lomond locations. John was a hard working, devoted family man, whose family was his life. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his two children, Sarah (Ryan Butler) and Stephen, brothers Pat (Susan), Mike (Pam) and Joe (Lorna), sister Joanie Boyce (Tony), as well as several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425) with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Church on Saturday at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
