It is with extreme heavy hearts that we announce the sudden death of Charles John Jessome, better known to everyone as ‘Bub’, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Monday, June 11, 2012.
Charles ‘Bub’ was born January 4, 1964, to Pauline (Young) and the late Byron Jessome. He was a member of St. Joseph parish, Bras d'Or.
He was a member of the Local 56 Sheet Metal and Roofers Union, where he was employed. He enjoyed working in his garden with his little grandson and best bud Malakai, and his dog Riley.
Charles is survived by his loving wife and best friend Edna (Buffett); his daughters Jamie Ann (Neil James) and Deanna Marie (Kevin); and his two beautiful grandchildren Malakai Douglas and Charly Rose, who were the light of his life. Also left to mourn are mother Pauline; mother and father-in-law Bernard and Deanna Buffett; brother George; sisters Julie (Blaine Forrest), and Karen (Paul Pettipas); sister-in-law Bernadette (Terry), special friend to Pauline (Leonard Bonnar); also special friend and cousin Lee Petrossie, whom he considered his best friend.
Besides his father Byron, he was predeceased by his loving daughter Laura Catherine.
Visitation for Charles Jessome will be held in the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, Friday, June 15, 2012, from 7-9 p.m. The funeral Mass will take place Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph church, Bras d'Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.
