It is with great sorrow we announce the passing, in the presence of his loving family on Monday, June 11th, 2012, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Edward Janes, aged 70 years. Predeceased by his parents William and Marie Janes; brothers: Jack, Bernard and Fred and sisters: Marg and Marie. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Rose; sons: Eddie (Dwanda) and Blair (Annette); and grandchildren: Nicholas, Lucas, Hannah and Brandon; brothers: Bill (Peg), Kevin (Cecilia) and Dave; sisters: Sheila (Francis Warren) and Jean and many nieces and nephews. Ed was a great man and very active in the community. A member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, longtime volunteer with the scouting movement, active member with St. Kevin’s Parish and many other groups and organizations through life. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, June 14th at 10 a.m. from St. Kevin’s Church. Inurnment to follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Ed’s memory may be made to a children’s charity of one’s choice.
