At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown on Friday, June 15, 2012, of Florence Johnston (nee Walker) of Montague and formerly Poplar Point, age 85 years.
Wife of the late Joseph E. Johnston. Beloved mother of Kenny (Gloria), Elaine (Gary) Campbell, Doreen (Blair) Acorn, Debbie (Garth), Joey (Allana), Wayne (Wanda), Anne (Gerard) Shepherd, Chuck (Jeannie), Gordon (Sharon), Cindy (Marvin) Blackett, Betty (Andy) Campbell, and Blair (Kandy). Loving grandmother of 41 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Survived by brothers Charlie, George (Flo), and sisters-in-law Katherine MacDonald and Theresa Johnston.
Predeceased by infant daughter Gertie and infant son Edward. Also predeceased by brother Joseph Walker; infant sister, Mary; infant grandchildren, Gordon and Christine Johnston.
Resting at Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home until Monday at 1:30 p.m., then to St. George's Church for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. Visitation: Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
