It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our precious angel, Serissa Anne. Loving daughter of Leigha Christmas and Brent Kabatay. Leaving to mourn are her siblings, Samara, Atticus, Aiden, Alex, Mythias and Scarlett of Membertou. Her parental grandmother, Cecelia Kabatay; maternal grandparents Frances ‘ Puddy’ and George Christmas. A large number of aunts, uncles and cousins also her godfather, Cory Christmas; godmothers, Luanne Dennis and Tia Julian.
Serissa was predeceased by her grandfather, Edwin ‘Bud’ Kabatay; great-grandmother, Georgina Julian; great paternal grandparents, Theresa and Edward Notejin John Kabatay; great maternal grandparents, Raymond and Mali Plsit Christmas.
Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 17 at 14 Veteran’s Ave., Membertou. A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 18 at St. Anthony Daniel Church, with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating, interment at Membertou Memorial Gardens.
