HOWE, LOIS MARIE (REICKER) - It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the death of Lois Marie Howe of Beaverdam, NB which occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday, June 17th, 2012. Born in 1932 in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of the late Borden and Marie (Morrisey) Reicker. She was the wife of the late Ross A. Howe. She lived for her family and loved to do her needlework quilting and gardening. She was quite a cook in her day and we all looked forward to our birthdays when we get chocolate cake with boiled frosting. She dedicated her life to her husband and family. As a young girl she had aspirations of being a hairdresser and was an avid bowler. Family kept her from working outside the home however, she did work for awhile, at the canteen at the Saint John Exhibitions which she referred to often with fond memories. Survived by her three children, daughter Susanne Mitchell (Stan Fielding) of Saint John, NB; two sons, Kenneth and his wife Linda and Edward all of Beaverdam, NB; grandchildren, Dwight, (Isobel Vey) and Shane (Lisa) Mitchell, Samantha, Melissa, Jessica, (Matthew Yeomans), Tyler and Branden Howe; great-grandchildren, Derek Doiron, Hailey Howe and Tucker Yeomans; one brother, Wayne Reicker, sister-in-law, Janet Reicker as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Donald Reicker and son-in-law, Wayne Mitchell.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 20th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the J. A McAdam’s Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 21st, 2012 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Larry Matthews officiating. Interment will be held in Hatfield Point NB at Bayview Cemetery.
