BURGESS, Patricia May “Pat” – 72, Truro, formerly of Tatamagouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday morning, June 20, 2012, at The Mira Long Term Care Facility, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late George and Alice (McCallum) Caudle. She worked at Stanfield’s for a number of years and in 1998 she joined the Homecare Team at VON. Pat is survived by her loving husband, Herbert James “Herbie” Finck, Tatamagouche; children, Wendy (Anthony) Turner, South Loon Lake, Halifax County; Sherry (Bill) Shedden, Falcon Lake, Manitoba; Carol (Ken) McMaster, Valley; Kelly Wilcox, North River; Jamie (Teresa) Burgess, Steinbach, Manitoba; step children, Shannon Finck (Dylan McMullin), Londonderry; Ashley (Johnnie) Weatherby, North River; 14 grandchildren and step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; brother, Ronald “Bub” (Eileen) Caudle, Lantz; sisters, Maxine (Leonard) Weatherbee, British Columbia; Shirley (Percy) MacPhee, Stewiacke; many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Larry James Burgess; step grandson, Matthew Shedden; nephew, Ricky MacPhee. Special thanks are extended to the staff at The Mira for their care and compassion shown to Pat and her family over the past three years. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held 4 p.m., Sunday, June 24, 2012, Reverend Cory Somers officiating.
