The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, of Dennis Gaudet of Summerside, aged 71 years. Born in Miscouche, he was the son of the late Alfred "Alfie" and Mildred "Millie" (Gaudet) Gaudet. Survived by his wife Marlene (Sonier) Gaudet; son Stephen (Kendra) Gaudet, Summerside; grandchildren Kate and Hilarie Gaudet; granddog "Jiggs"; brothers Alfred Jr.Gaudet; Darryl Gaudet; sister Joanne Gaudet; brothers and sisters-in-law Ervan Sonier; Gloria (Edwin) MacIntyre;Linda (Yves) Leonard; Don (Lynn) Sonier; and Nancy Sonier. Predeceased by brother-in-law Joe Sonier; and parents-in-law Ervan and Ruby (Grady) Sonier. There will be an informal gathering for family and friends at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, Thursday from 6-9 p.m. A private family service will be held. Interment in St. John The Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche. Family and friends are invited to the Silver Maple Seniors Club, in the Miscouche Fire Hall, Friday at 1:15 p.m. for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
