Robert S. (Bob) Batty of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully at Providence Place on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the age of 69 years. Bob was born in Gravelbourg, SK on July 1, 1942 and moved to Moose Jaw at a young age with his parents, Jack and Mae Batty. Bob attended Ross Elementary and Moose Jaw Technical High School before heading to British Columbia where he received a degree in Architecture at UBC. He was employed as an architect in BC for several years before returning home to Moose Jaw. In recent years he owned and managed the Rossalder Apartments until poor health necessitated the sale of the building in 2009. Predeceased by his parents, Bob is survived by his aunt Melba Batty of Assiniboia and several cousins. A Memorial Tea will be held at Club 55 in Assiniboia 103 3rd Ave. W., on Saturday June 30, 2012 at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Assiniboia Cemetery.
