YOUNG, ROBERT - Robert James Young passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, June 22nd, 2012. Born 1936 in Toronto, ON, he was the son of the late Thomas and Corinne (Hamilton) Young. Robert was an active member of the Simonds Lions Club of Saint John. He was a retired transport driver, travelling across Canada and the USA. He is survived by his sisters Joy McAllister (Mackie) of Colorado Springs, CO and Shirley Young of Saint John; niece Donna James (Paul) and great-nephew Andrew James of Bradford, ON; nephews Thomas Young and Gary Young (Lynn) of Toronto, ON. Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Helen Young.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In accordance with Robert’s wishes there will be no visitation. Following cremation a Memorial Service will be held from Stella Maris Church on Thursday, June 28th at 12 noon. Following the service a reception will be held at the Simonds Lions Club located at the Loch Lomond Villa.
