Alma Peach, 93, of Glace Bay, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Harbour Le Cou, N.L., she was the daughter of the late James and Videt (Harnum) Horwood.
She was a member of the Newsom United Church and knitted for the Glace Bay Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Anderine (David) Gillard, Corner Brook, N.L., Madonna (Hector) Leonard, Corner Brook, N.L., and Jimmy Peach (Sheila); grandchildren, Billy, Kevin, Glenn, Tawnya, Shauna, Bruce, Jenell, Jaime and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Enid Warner.
Alma was predeceased by her husband, Harold, sister, Rita, brothers, Harry, Clyde and Albert.
Visitation for Elma will be held at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today (Tuesday, June 26) with a funeral service on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Newsom United Church, Glace Bay, with Rev. Michael Goodfellow officiating. Interment in the Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
