Moira Christena (FitzGerald) Morgan, age 87, of Holly, MI, died June 20, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert; dear mother of John (Debbie), Susan, Patrick (Julie), Mary (Mark) Kohair, James, Maureen (James) Busby, Christena (Dale) Battle, Thomas (Sarah), and Moira (Alan) Konopka; 33 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister of Constance, Mary, Deira, Anne, Rowena, Roberta, and the late Behinn, Padraic, Frances, Moira Clare, and Clare. She was born in Ottawa, Ont., on Dec. 20, 1924, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Wright) FitzGerald. She married Robert F. Morgan in Ottawa on Dec. 26, 1946. She was a nurse at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and for Dr. George Holmes in Allen Park, MI, for many years. She enjoyed driving to Prince Edward Island and picking wild strawberries. Mrs. Morgan was a lifelong Catholic and was the Pope’s representative to her family. Her cherished achievements were raising nine children and keeping up with her grandchildren. She loved God, her family, and P.E.I. Visitation was held from 3-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-9 p.m. Sunday, and a Rosary prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Funeral mass was celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, St. Rita Catholic Church, Holly, with Father David Blazek, celebrant. Memorial donation may be made to the charity of your choice.
