CAISSIE, LIONEL - 1943 - 2012 - Lionel Caissie, 69, of Moncton, NB, passed away on Monday, June 25th, 2012, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Frederic and the late Marie Collette (née: Goguen) Caissie. Mr. Caissie had retired from the City of Dieppe, as a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his beloved wife, Della; four children: Bernadette (Travis) West, Darryl (Lisa) Caissie, Denise (Mike) Caissie and Colleen (Paul) Dupuis; six grandchildren: Nathan, Caleb, Angelina, Jayda, Jesse and Ava; seven brothers: Paul (late Evelyn) Caissie, Omer (Lena) Caissie, Raymond (late Myrna) Caissie, Gerry (late Gloria) Caissie, John (Karen) Caissie, Yvon (Barb) Caissie and Donald (Marilyn) Caissie; two sisters: Eva Leger and Rita (Al) Hoffman; sister-in-law, Millie Caissie; brother-in-law, Albert Cormier; his best friend, Eddy Caissie; his ever faithful furry companion, Buddy, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, Lionel was predeceased by one brother, Edgar and also by two sisters: Freda and Dora.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and also on Friday from 9 am until time of service. Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, June 29th, 2012 at 10 am. Interment at Our-Lady-of-Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
