(June 16, 1916 - June 26, 2012) of Admiral's Cove, Cape Broyle. Passed peacefully away, with her family by her side, at St Clare's Mercy Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Denis (1988) and daughter Lucy (1988). Left with fond and loving memories of many long nights and cards dealt are her children and grandchildren: Rosemary, Phonse (Bride) - Glenda, Paula, Carolyn, Maureen and Suzanne; Lucy's daughter Nicole; Gertie Melvin (Ron - deceased) - Jason, Rhonda, Robert, Jana and Joseph; Maureen Lawlor (Len) - Tina, Randy, Kim and Lynette; Eleanor Hynes (Leo - deceased) - Tom, Kelly, Sandy and Dion; Carmel Croft (Joe) - Denis, Wendy, Lisa, Todd and Colin; Randy - daughter Sidney; Gerald - Rachel, Angie, Adam and Stacey and their mother Maria; David (Brenda) - Melanie, Karl, Paul, Janine and Leanne. Also leaving 42 great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of 7-East for their care and comfort.
To join the family in a celebration of a life well lived, Madeline will be resting at Ryan's Funeral Home in Bay Bulls. Visitation from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, June 27th and June 28th. Mass of Christian burial at Immaculate Conception Church, Cape Broyle on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
