Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, of Wilfred Herbert Thompson, Dunstaffnage, age 87 years.
Predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Eileen (Weatherbie) Thompson. Loving father of David (Joyce), Donald (Heather), Garth (Bev) and Gwynne Corrigan (Wayne). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Aaron, Cara, Amy, Isaac, Ellyn, Jennifer, Michael, Jeffrey and Nora and by his great-grandchildren Nicholas, Alexander, Crofton, Erik, Payton, Shae, Shamus, Hope, Landon and Ryder. Brother of Marion Auld (Walter, deceased), Bertha Brown (Robert, deceased) and Hollis (Linda). Brother-in-law of Maude Thompson (John, deceased) and Helen Thompson (Fred, deceased).
Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Viola (Judson) Thompson; his brothers Irving (Viola), Loren (Anna); and his sisters Mildred Johnston (Will), Georgina Vatcher (Leonard) and Lila Roper (Rae).
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment in Central United Church Cemetery, Dunstaffnage. Visitation on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
