Emerson 'Bumper' Rose

We, the family of Bumper Rose, are saddened to announce his peaceful passing on June 27, 2012, surrounded by the people he most cherished.
Born in 1942 to Margaret (Tanner) and John Rose, he spent most of his adult life working in the mining and fishing industry. In 2008, Bumper retired from the Grande Cache Coal Mine in Alberta. He and his wife, Rachel, retired to Cape Breton’s beautiful Marion Bridge area. His kind and loving disposition was appreciated by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Bumper is survived by his wife and best friend, Rachel (nee Budden); sons, Emerson, Robert (Edna), Keith (Tracy) and Elliott (Pam).
Bumper was predeceased by his parents and one infant brother.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bumper’s name to The Palliative Care at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
