Chesley Gillam of Corner Brook passed away peacefully June 27th, 2012 at home and surrounded by his loving family. He was 81 years old. He leaves to mourn Marie, his loving wife of 55 years, sons: Aaron (Donna), Jeff (Tara) and daughter Stephanie (Mark) Ellerker, grandchildren: Christopher, Mandy, Sarah, Kristen, Kaitlynn, Aidan, and Gillian, brother Melvin (Lucy), sister Ina (Earl) Dolter and predeceased by his father and mother (Hubert and Alma), brothers: Eric and Roy (Ruby). He also leaves a large circle of friends and extended family. He loved them all. Prior to his retirement he worked as a professional traveling salesman and was fortunate to meet and serve people from Western, Central and Northern Newfoundland & Labrador. He was well respected by his customers and colleagues. After retirement his love was spending time at the cabin in George's Lake with family and friends, woodworking and painting by numbers! Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday June 29, 2012 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive on Saturday June 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Roberta Woodman officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
