Hilda Renda Higgin - 96, of Hantsport, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Wolfville, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie (Brown) Millett. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She had been employed for many years as a supervisor with Sanisteam Laundry, Wolfville. She loved dancing and enjoyed travelling, especially to the warm climate of Florida and Hawaii. She is survived by a son, Gerald (Betty) Jodrey, Gaspereau; a daughter, Joan (Merle) Carey, Hantsport; a son, Dale (Beverly) Jodrey, Wolfville; grandchildren, Susan, Kevin, Renda, Randy, Paula, Peter, Allan, Charlyn, Jill and Robert; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her first husband, Roy Jodrey; her second husband, Randall “Randy” Higgin; a daughter, Dawn and her husband, Heston Croft; a grandson, Greg Jodrey; several brothers and sisters. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service followed by a reception was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012, Reverend Terry Coldwell officiating. A private family burial took place in the Gaspereau Cemetery, Kings County. Family flowers only, by request.
