HOPPER, RALPH L. - Ralph L. Hopper, 83, of Golden Years Estates, Moncton, with his loving family at his side, left this earthly home on Saturday, June 30, 2012 and is now singing praises with his Lord and Saviour. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Frank and Florence (Terris) Hopper. Ralph was a retired accountant, having being employed with CNR, Apex and the Credit Union. He was a member of Parkside Baptist Church and was a former member of the church choir. In past years, Ralph enjoyed playing the organ and was an active singer, having been involved with various quartets and choirs. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family, but first and foremost he enjoyed spending precious time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ralph will be sadly missed by his loving wife of over 60 years, Vila (McConnell) Hopper; his children, Richard (Georgette), and Rilla Miller, both of Moncton, Roxanne Duncan (Neil) of Ammon, Rhonda Steeves (Michael) of Riverview, Russell (Brenda) of Moncton; precious grandchildren, Ross, Courtney, Spencer, Travis, Bianca, Matthew, Mark, Hilary, Heather, Bradley, Brent, Bruce, Tom and Darla; cherished great-grandchildren, Noah, Rylan, Allison, Hunter, Weston and Dayton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ralph was predeceased by his granddaughter, Kara; brothers, Leon and Alvin.
No visitation hours by personal request. Funeral service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jim Eagles officiating. Interment, Gladeside Cemetery. In Ralph’s memory, donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation, Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
