The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, June 30, 2012, of Frederick "Fred" A. E. North, of Summerside, aged 78 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born in Charlton, England, he was the son of the late Richard and Daisy (Cook) North. Survived by his daughter Charleen Wright (Terry Barlow); step-daughters Edith Katsiou and Loreen Wright; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and by a brother Michael North. Predeceased by his wife Dena DeMarko; step-daughter Donna Wright; sister Jane Potter; and brothers Bill and Tom North. No visitation or funeral service by personal request. Memorial donations to the United Way of Prince Edward Island would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Moase Funeral Home, Summerside.
