MOCKLER, CORINNE JEANNETTE - The death of Corinne J. Mockler of Minto, N.B., wife of the late Donald Mockler occurred on July 3rd, 2012 at the Orchard View Nursing Home in Gagetown, N.B. Born on September 18th, 1917 in Ste. Anne, Madawaska Co. N.B. she was the daughter of Felix and Laura (Dupere) Parent. Corinne is survived by her children; Elizabeth Grimmer (David-deceased) of Rothesay; Dr. Gordon R. Mockler (Lynda) of Grand Bay-Westfield; Marilyn Mockler (Robb Steeves) of Moncton; Charlotte Hiscock (Wilfred) of Gagetown and Dr. Karen Mockler and husband John Robertson of Auburn, Alabama; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Corinne was a resident of Minto for over 70 years where she became a dedicated homemaker and proud devoted parent. Her world revolved around her family and their achievements. Also, she was an enthusiastic and accomplished gardener, embracing the art of composting for over 50 years. Winter months were often given over to her hobby of knitting afghans; well over one hundred pieces of her handiwork grace the homes of family members far and wide. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Other than her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Armand Parent and sisters; Marie Mai Deschenes, Colombe Parent, Marie Ann Thibeault, Homerine Parent, and Rita Theriault.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 5th, 2012 at the Saint Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church, Minto 12 to 2pm. Funeral service at 2PM., officiating will be Reverend Cathcart. A reception is to be held in the church hall following the service. The family would like to thank the Orchard View physicians and staff for the loving care given to our mother.
