Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 Gordon Downer, age 75. Predeceased by his parents Mathias and Ethel Downer, brother Joseph Downer, sister Kathleen Downer. Left to mourn with loving memories are his wife Bessie, sons Kerry (Joanne) of Main Point, Barry (Margaret) of Torbay, daughter Dana (Sean) Hynes of Slave Lake, AB; brother Alvin (Elaine) of Main Point, sisters Hazel Johnston (Les Dominey) of Hampton, NB; Daphne Blake of Main Point, Linda Goodyear (David) of Clarenville, grandchildren Lucas Downer, Erica Downer, Caitlin Downer, Megan Hynes, Mitchell Downer and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 30th at 2:00 P.M. from St. Martin’s Anglican Cathedral. Cremation followed.
