Passed peacefully away, surrounded by his loving family at the Palliative Care Unit on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at the age of 87, Paddy Dawe of Kelligrews, C.B.S., longtime employee (46 years) of McNamara Construction. Predeceased by his beloved wife Isabelle (Hartery). Left to mourn his children: Garry (Betty), Dianne, Carol Ann (Ed Cook), Wayne (Cathy), Neil (Corrina), Randy (Christina), Lynn (Terry), Brian (Charmaine) and Yvonne (Lloyd Luby); eighteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters: Rita Dawe and Nellie English (Patrick); special niece Sheila Wedgewood (Birch); longtime friend Kevin Beresford and many other friends and relatives. Special thanks to the staff and fellow residents of Admiral’s Coast Retirement Home, where he will be greatly missed. Thanks as well to the caring staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the Palliative Care Unit. Resting at Hickey’s Funeral Home in Kelligrews, C.B.S. with visitation on Tuesday, July 10th and Wednesday July 11th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Edward’s Church, Longshore Road, Kelligrews on Thursday, July 12, 2012, 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Edward’s Cemetery, Pond Road, Kelligrews.
