Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Saturday, July 7, 2012, Greta Amanda Lush, aged 81 years. Predeceased by son Stephen David Lush; sister Isobel Virginia Petts; parents Harvey and Amanda Wrathall; stepmother Rose Wrathall; and many much loved family pets. Leaving to mourn loving husband of 58 years, Dr. Norman J. Lush; daughters: Nancy Lush, Sandra Simpson (Malcolm), Janet Graham, and Joanne MacDonald (Leslie); grandchildren: Griffin, Alex, and Zoë Simpson, and Amanda and Mackenzie Graham; dear and close family friends: Danny O’Neill and Mary Ennis; loving dog Belle; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends. Greta was a very kind and giving person who volunteered in many organizations, most notably wheelchair sports, and she was also one of the three founding members of The Hub. Special thank you to the nursing staff of 5 North A & ICU at the Health Sciences Complex, and also many thanks to her physicians. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Sunday, July 8, and Monday, July 9, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
