John "Jack" Little

LITTLE, JOHN "JACK" - The family of John Thomas "Jack" Little are saddened to announce his death at his home surrounded by his family. Jack was born in Saint John, NB., the youngest son of Harry and Marie (Delucry) Little on February 26, 1933. He was educated at St. Vincent’s Boys School and retired in 1989 from Via Rail as Chief Passenger Agent. Jack was an avid bowler, bridge player and loved to tend to his rose and vegetable gardens. He was a past president and treasurer of CN Pensioners and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 937. Jack was the centre of his family, always organizing family get togethers, such as the annual Canada Day party at the cottage. His New Year’s Day Party was known to his family and friends as “Jackie’s Levee.” Jack will be sadly missed by his siblings, Harold (Dot) from Maccan, NS, Eleanor (Joe, deceased) Horgan, Colleen (Tom) Mantle, Chris (George, deceased) Black, Betty (Jim, deceased) Bowes; sister-in-law Mable Little as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Frank, Joseph, James, and baby brother Charles (11 months); sister Marjorie; sisters-in-law Lillian and Dorothy Little and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his cherished Pomeranian and best friend Duchess.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:00 am. Interment to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Jack to Bobby’s Hospice or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
