RICHARDSON, CLEVELAND - (1928 - 2012) - Mr. Cleveland Theodore Richardson formerly of Castalia, Grand Manan Island passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home Monday, July 9, 2012. He was born the son of the late Hollis and Helen (Locke) Richardson in Castalia. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball, worked at Leon Small’s garage, and drove an oil truck. Later he worked for the Grand Manan District School Board #22 for seventeen years as a custodian and school bus driver until his retirement. He is survived by his daughter Kate Richardson of Moncton, NB; three sisters; Audrey Agrusti of Castalia, Sylvia Morse of Grand Harbour, and Roxie (Barry) Ingersoll of Castalia. He was predeceased by his wife Hildred, and one brother David.
Visiting will take place from the North Head Wesleyan Church on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jasper Rideout officiating. The interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery. Cleveland’s family has requested that donations may be made to the Grand Manan Nursing Home or to World Vision.
