William Elvin "Ernie" Sherren
After a lengthy battle with cancer, the death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, of William Elvin “Ernie” Sherren of Charlottetown, age 80 years.
Beloved husband for 59 years of Shirley (nee MacKinnon), formerly of Clyde River. Dear father of Garry (Janice), Kevin (Linda), Norma Jean (Wade) Waugh, Lorna Mae (Alan) Spence, Wendy (Michael) Doucette, Darlene (John) DeCourcey and Donna (Jason, deceased) Derry. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Brad) and Neil Sherren, Shirliana (Kerby) Bruce and Tara Sherren, Paige Waugh, Kelly and Angela Spence, Nicholas, Rebecca and Thomas Doucette, Allyson and Justin Fradella and Brandon and Connor Derry. Great-grandfather of Carter, Addison and Jane Bruce and Mason Cook. Brother of Nan (Rollie, deceased) MacDonald and brother-in-law of Eric (Freda) MacKinnon, Keith (Carol) MacKinnon, Grace (Leith, deceased) MacKinnon, Velma (Ian, deceased) Taylor and the late Elmer MacKinnon. Predeceased by his parents. Henry and Clara Sherren, grandson, Derek Spence, and son-in-law, Jason Derry.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, July 13, 2012, at 1 p.m. Visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
