(b. Bell Island, 04 July 1920) passed peacefully away 11 July 2012. Predeceased by her loving husband Edward J. Hickey, her parents Jack and Mary Davis, sister Kathleen Powell Oates (William, Bob), Marjorie Bishop (Carm), brother Brendan Davis (Marie), parents-in-law Stephen and Gertrude Hickey, brothers-in-law, Michael J. Hickey (Mary), Stephen Hickey, Stan Hickey (Mary), Jim Hickey ( Marion) and Lawrence Kelly. Leaving to mourn, nieces: Maureen St. Croix O’Brien (Ron, George), Kathleen Ivans (Vernon), Rita Samuelson (Andy); brothers-in-law: Tom (Kay), Vincent (Eileen), George (Doris) Hickey; sisters- in-law: Mary (Philippe) Belanger, Sally Kelly, Maudie Whelan, Bride Hickey. Also leaving to mourn, Goddaughter, Rita Lucas (Murphy); special friend Ruby Whelan and many friends in Brampton and Cambridge, Ontario, St. John’s, and Bell Island, Newfoundland. Special thanks to Dr. Patrick O’Shea, Father Leo English, nurses, Theresa, Janet, and Marina, and the doctors and staff of St. Clare’s for their care and kindness. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Thursday, 12:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Francis Puddister at Mary Queen of Peace, Torbay Road, at 2:00 p.m., Friday, 13 July. Interment at Bell Island following the Mass.
