Twenty years ago today, you left this earth alone.
Your human life ended, because God called you home.
Your family lived with broken hearts, left so far behind.
The memories of you, the big grown eyes,
your contagious spirit, your warm and gentle smile.
They say time heals everything, but I know it isn't so.
Because our hearts hurt as much today, as twenty years ago.
Our family chain was broken and nothing is the same,
but God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
