MacFARLANE, BILL - 1924-2012 - Bill MacFarlane, of Riverview, NB passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at The Moncton Hospital. Bill was born in Moncton on October 1st, 1924, the son of the late Ainsley and Pearl (Akerley) MacFarlane. Bill was a retired employee of Via Rail having worked in various departments for over 25 years. Bill attended the Albert United Church and was actively involved with The Council of Canadians and The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Joan (London). Bill is survived by his daughters; Lynne (Darrell) Jarvis of Halifax NS, Cythia (James) MacFarlane, and Shelley (Chris) Everett both of Riverview, Grandchildren; Courtney, Spencer, Ross, Joy, Jenna, Christopher, Craig, and Joni-Lynne, 13 great-grandchildren and his three nephews; Brian, Alan, and Chris Wilson. As well as his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sister Geraldine Wilson.
His graveside service will be held at the Harvey Bayview Cemetery, Harvey NB on Sunday, July 15th, at 2 PM. Cobb's Funeral Home (869-2007) 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview are entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
