It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth "Betty" Zurba (nee: Wiffen, nee: Barradell) on Tuesday, July 10th, 2012 in Kamloops, British Columbia.

A wife, mother, sister, grandmother, co-worker or friend, Betty was a woman of great energy. Betty will leave a great void in the lives of many family members and friends. Betty and Bill, her husband of fourteen years, are a well-known couple in Chase, where they retired in 1999.

Betty was mother of three, with two daughters, Deborah (Gary) and Sylvia (Gordon) and one son, Don (Charmaine). Betty was an active grandmother in the lives of her four grandchildren: Sean, Victoria, Brian and Chris.

Betty worked for many years in the Housekeeping department at the Prince George Regional Hospital where she had many friends.

Betty is predeceased by her mother Victoria Barradell (nee: Arthur) and her father Clifford Barradell, her sisters Birdy Gowling and Winnifred Richie. She leaves behind three sisters Dianne, Jackie and Judy and a twin brother William. She will also be missed by her extended family: Darlene, Bob, Bill Jr., Fay, Diane and Julie and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Betty's life will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street.
