Beal, George Arthur
The death of George Arthur Beal, age 77, occurred on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville.
Born in Connecticut on September 16, 1934, he was the son of the late Mae (LeFort) Beal and Abner Beal of Meridan, Connecticut.
George was a member of the United States Air Force, serving overseas in the Korean War. After leaving the USAF, he had worked for Enamel Heating in Amherst from 1963 to 1982 and then as a property manager for Centennial Management in Halifax from 1984 until his retirement in 1993.
George is survived by his wife, Eileen; daughters Lorraine (Reggie) Dwyer, Amherst and Alieta (Robb) Rupp, USA; grandchildren, Aleena, Reggie-Dane and Brady Dwyer, all of Amherst, Tarah and Rachel Rupp, USA; three great grandchildren, USA; a stepson, Shane McCue, BC; his sister, Lorraine (Charlie) Branigan, Florida and special and devoted friends Jessie and Al, Halifax.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his sister, Muriel and his son Dane.
Cremation has taken place under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (364-1300). At George's request, there will be no visitation. A public graveside service for friends and family was held at the Midgic Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 16. Pastor Hal Lowther officiated.
