Pratt, Keith Ross – 89, North River passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Wallace and Alice (Crowe) Pratt. He was a veteran of the Second World War and took part in the liberation of Holland. Keith was an active member of North River United Church and also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Truro. He worked at Domtar in Bible Hill. He is survived by daughter, Sharon ((Leslie) Smith, Salmon River; son, Ross (Faye), Miramichi, NB; companion, Midge Lynds; brothers, Roy, Salmon River, Bert (Linda), Hilden; grandchildren, Jason (Jan), Vincent (Jen), Tina (Hulio), Mark (Laura), Joanne, Sharilyn (Albert); six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Gertrude (McCallum) Pratt; daughter, Katherine May Pratt; sisters, Evelyn and Ruth; brothers, Jim and Carl. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 20 from 7-9 pm with a Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26 Tribute at 6:45 pm; funeral service on Saturday, July 21 at 2:00 pm, all in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Kym Burke-Cole officiating. Interment in Belmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, North River United Church or a charity of choice.
