Wade, George Francis – Tatamagouche, passed away July 18, 2012 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. George was born October 26, 1941 in Montreal to the late Charles and Evelyn Wade. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy and later was a cook for many years at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax. Since moving to Tatamagouche, George has enjoyed stacking his firewood, bowling and cutting the grass. Surviving are, his wife, Ola (Sarty); daughter, Cathy Rafters and her sons, Andrew and Patrick, all of Tatamagouche; son, Christopher (Donna) and their children, Emmalee and David, all of Bedford; sister, Gina (Mac) Grant, Ontario; brother-in-law, Bernard Denaut, Montreal. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Ralph and Ross; sister, Lorna. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Coulter’s Funeral Home (657-3288) 48 Riverside Dr., Tatamagouche. A private family burial will be at a later date.
