Violet Mae MacGillivray
The death of Violet Mae MacGillivray of Cardigan, in her 86th year, wife of the late Aeneas MacGillivray, occurred on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown.
Born in Cardross August 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George and Felicitas (MacDonald) Macdearmid. Survived by her loving children Gladys (David) Quinn, Shirley MacGillivray, Patrick (Sharon) MacGillivray; brother, Preston (Leona) MacDearmid; cherished grandchildren, Michael (Kim) Quinn, Scott Quinn, Jeffrey Quinn, Cory (Terra) Quinn, Lisa Savard, Dennis MacGillivray, Nancy (Andy) Driscoll; great-grandchildren, Phoebe Quinn, Brody Quinn, Jayde Quinn, Savannah Driscoll, Blake MacLean and Kaitlyn Mackenzie; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brothers, Francis and Raymond; sister, Winnifred; son, Cyril; and an infant son.
Resting at Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting hours on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at All Saints Catholic Church, Cardigan, at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in the All Saints Parish Cemetery.
