Olive Wright Affleck
The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Sunday, July 15, 2012, of Olive Affleck, of Bedeque and formerly of South Freetown and Summerside, in her 100th year.
Olive was the daughter of the late Samuel and Eliza (Biggar) Drummond, and was the last surviving member of her family.
Survived by her daughter, Ione (George) Wood; grandchildren, Kent (Julie) Wood, Noelle (Chris) Norton, Crystal (Richard) Carr, Ashley Wood (Denis Galliera); great-grandchildren, Joel (Laura) Wood, Brett Wood, Cole, Blaire and Greer Norton, Joelle and Lucas Carr; great-great-grandchild, Allie Wood; step children, Melvin Affleck, Percy (Marilyn) Affleck; step-grandchildren, Randall (Jackie) Affleck, Susan (Kevin) Andrews, David (Wendy) Affleck, Alex (Monica) Affleck, Mary Affleck; step-great-grandchildren, Katie and Reagan Affleck, Ashley, Conner, Keiran and Crosby Andrews, Percy, Jack and Carly Affleck and Sadie Snyder.
Predeceased by her husband, Thorne Affleck; brothers, Thomas, Fred and Wilbert Drummond; sisters, Eva Stetson, Minnie Drummond, Addie Biggar and Gladys Wright.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Monday, then to the Bedeque United Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in Lower Bedeque Cemetery.
Visiting hours Sunday from 7-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Lower Bedeque Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
