LÉGER, VIOLA - 1933-2012 - Viola Léger, 78, of Cocagne passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital on Friday, July 20, 2012. She was married to Lionel Léger. Born in Grande-Digue on November 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Léandre and the late Laura (LeBlanc) Brun. She will be sadly missed by her husband, her three daughters: Anise Léger, Ginette Cormier (Michel) both of Cocagne and Stella Bourque (Jean-Guy) of Grande-Digue, her five sons: Normand (Carmella) of Notre-Dame, Omer (Francine), Raymond, both of Cocagne, Alyre (Ida) of Grande-Digue and Claude (Gisèle) of Dartmouth, her four sisters: Léona LeBlanc (Ovile) of Cocagne, Irène Collette, Stella LeBlanc (Jean-Paul), both of Bouctouche,
Jeannita Cormier (Gérard) of Cap-Pelé, her three brothers: Normand (Aldora), Gérard (Rachelle) both of Grande-Digue and Edmond (Jovette) of Gardner, Mass, her eleven grandchildren, her five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by three brothers: Valmond, Emery and Léonard.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room in Cocagne, on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 7 to 9pm and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Pierre Church on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 11:00am with interment in the parish cemetery. In Viola's memory donations to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation, oncology department would be appreciated.
