ST-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Sammy Poirier 66, of St-Louis-de-Kent passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012. Born in St-Louis-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Louis and late Jeannita (Goguen)Poirier. Sammy was employed as a carpenter for many years. Sammy will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Flavie (Mazerolle) Poirier of St. Louis, his daughter; Murielle Poirier (Sean Kelly) of St. Louis, his son; Stephane Sammy Poirier of St. Louis and his special grand daughter; Courtney. He is also survived by five sisters; Rose Robichaud (Paul), Yvette Robichaud (Albe) both of Moncton, Lilliane Blanchard (Yvon) of St. Antoine, Denise Vautour (Bernard), Marion Blanchard (Josephat) both of St. Charles, three brothers; Gerard Poirier (Jeannine) of St. Louis, Bernard Poirier (Brenda) of Shediac, Donald Poirier (Rose-Mai) of St. Louis and one sister-in-law; Petra-Ann Poirier of Hamilton and also several nieces, nephews and foster children. Sammy was predeceased by one brother; Elmo Poirier.
Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St-Louis-de-Kent with visitation on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm, Monday at 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 23rd, 2012 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, St-Louis-de-Kent. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
